The World Awake

Roberto Calderaro

Roberto Calderaro, 32, is an architect who lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

“I’ve had night time events since my diagnosis with Type 1 diabetes at age 14. It’s difficult to have diabetes when you’re young, especially when you want to do well at school and later at university,” says Roberto.

“I used to experience night time events every week and they would make me feel very tired. I knew that if I had a night time event before an exam, I might not do well and my grades would be affected, which increased my anxiety while I was studying.”

"I might not be where I am today if it wasn’t for my doctor helping me with my night time events."
